Professional and Vocational Licensing (PVL) Renewal

This application is designed to allow the renewal of professional and vocational licenses issued by the State of Hawaii.

This online license renewal service is made possible by eHawaii.gov and the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA), Professional and Vocational Licensing Division (PVLD). This service is accessible 24 hours a day during the renewal period. The following types of licenses may be renewed online beginning on May 5, 2008 10a.m. (HST) and before the license expiration date indicated below. Renewals after the date below must be submitted by mail or in person to the DCCA/PVLD.

License Expiration Date: June 30, 2008, midnight (HST).

AUC (Auction) - $549. Do not renew online if there are any address changes.
CB (Motor Vehicle, Broker) - $549.
CCV (Motor Vehicle, Consumer Consultant) - $117.75.
CS (Motor Vehicle, Salesperson) - $121.50. Do not renew online if you have changed employment.
DOS (Osteopath) - $159.
EVM (Elevator Mechanic) - $138.
MAE (Massage Establishment) - $100.50. Do not renew online if there are any address changes. Do not renew online if the renewal application you received in the mail does not list a principal MAT or if you are changing your principal MAT. Renew by mail or in person and submit the required “Change of Personnel for Massage Therapy Establishment” form with your renewal application.
MAT (Massage Therapist) - $100.50.
MHC (Mental Health Counselor)
- License Numbers 1 to 171 $338.25.
- License Numbers 172 and Higher $263.25.
MVB (Motor Vehicle, Branch Location) - Oahu $324.00; Neighbor Island $174.00. Do not renew online if the branch has been relocated.
MVD (Motor Vehicle, Dealer) Do not renew online if the dealership has been relocated.
- Oahu - New $661.50; Used $324; Motorcycle $324.
- Neighbor Island - New $380.25; Used $211.50; Motorcycle $211.50.
NHA (Nursing Home Administrator) - $138.
PCFR (Pest Control Field Representative) - Active license $136.50; Inactive license $15. Do not renew online if you have changed employment. Do not renew online if you are changing your status from active to inactive.
PCO (Pest Control Operator – inactive license only) - $15.
PSY (Psychologist) - $174.
PSYI (Psychologist - industrial) - $174.
VE (Veterinarian) - $213.

License Expiration Date: July 1, 2008, midnight (HST).

DIO (Dispensing Optician) - $138.

Disclaimer and Terms

        - Use of the online renewal service is voluntary. If you prefer you may also renew by mail to DCCA/PVLD, P.O. Box 3469, Honolulu, HI 96801 or in person at 335 Merchant Street, Room 301, Honolulu, HI. If you did not receive a renewal application and would like to have one mailed to you, please contact the PVL Licensing Branch at 808-586-3000.

- This electronic renewal procedure requires you to provide the last four digits of your social security number and other personal information and complete the transaction using a credit card or checking account. The transaction is conducted on a secured server and uses encryption. If you choose not to provide your social security number or requested information, or do not want to use a credit card or electronic checking, please renew by mail or in person.

- If you have been convicted of a crime in the past 2 years, or have been subject to disciplinary action in the past 2 years, or have a disciplinary action pending against you, you may not renew online. Please submit your renewal application and supporting documents in person or by mail.

- After you complete the process, you will be able to print a receipt page, and, if you provide an email address, a receipt will be emailed to you. A new pocket card will be mailed within 10 business days.

- Name changes are not permitted for online license renewal. Please submit your renewal application in person or by mail. Renewal applications submitted via Internet are subject to verification.

You will need:

- Your license number.
- Your social security number (last 4 digits) or file number; if SSN does not work, please contact the PVL Licensing Branch at 808-586-3000 to request your file number.
- Your tax clearance federal employer I.D. number (FEIN) if you are required to have a tax clearance. You further expressly authorize the Department of Taxation (DOTAX) to disclose tax clearance information to eHawaii.gov and the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs as your authorized agents to verify the status of your tax clearance.
- An email address if you wish to receive acknowledgment of this transaction by email.
- Your VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express credit card number and expiration date or your checking account number.

- I agree to submit a renewal application by electronic means. I understand that my electronic renewal application has the same legal effect and legal consequences as a signed paper document.
